Creating Database User Accounts
If you collaborate with other people on managing a website and wish to give them access to the database, you should create separate user accounts for them.
To create a database user account:
- If you are subscribed to several hosting packages and have access to several webspaces associated with your account, in the Subscription menu at the top of the screen, select the required webspace.
- Go to the Websites & Domains tab.
- Click on Databases.
- Click on Database Name.
- Click Add New Database User.
- Type a user name and a password that will be used for accessing the contents of the database.
- Click OK.
To change a password for a database user:
- If you are subscribed to several hosting packages and have access to several webspaces associated with your account, in the Subscription menu at the top of the screen, select the required webspace.
- Go to the Websites & Domains tab.
- Click on Databases.
- Click on Database Name.
- Click on Database Username.
- Type a new password.
- Click OK.
To specify whose user account credentials should be used by default for managing a database through the Webadmin tool:
- If you are subscribed to several hosting packages and have access to several webspaces associated with your account, in the Subscription menu at the top of the screen, select the required webspace.
- Go to the Websites & Domains tab.
- Click on Databases.
- Click on Database Name.
- Click on Database Username.
- Select a checkbox corresponding to the user account you need.
- Click Default for DB Webadmin.
To remove a database user account:
- If you are subscribed to several hosting packages and have access to several webspaces associated with your account, in the Subscription menu at the top of the screen, select the required webspace.
- Go to the Websites & Domains tab.
- Click on Databases.
- Click on Database Name.
- Select a checkbox corresponding to the user account that you want to remove.
- Click Remove, then confirm removing
- Click OK.
